I‘ve been looking for a tough/reliable/utilitarian vehicle for work (gardener). I’ve found an immaculate 2001 Ford Ranger 4x2, single cab, manual transmission. Fewer than 30,000 miles. It seems to be about as simple and stripped back as a vehicle can get. I’m not a fan of modern trucks and vans which have too many bells and whistles.
Anyway. I’m assuming the hoses, seals, timing belts, etc, could be an issue. Anything else I should be aware of? With this particular model, or with older trucks in general?
Any advice or insight appreciated.
